THE EVENT- “Off the Beaten Path” trail race and fun run/walk will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Jacob
Krumm Nature Preserve, Jasper County Iowa; beginning at 9:00 a.m. (8:00-8:45 Registration at Ahrens Access).
Runners will experience the tall grass prairie, woodlands, and maybe even some wildlife! In addition, grass surfaces will
cushion the strides of each runner. Proceeds from the trail race will serve to benefit the natural resources and sustainability
of Jasper County through the help of our non-profit group, Jasper Conservation Connection.
AWARDS- The first-place winner of each race will receive a prize. The first, second, and third place winners of each of
the age categories for the 6K and 3K race will also receive awards. Categories are: 14 and younger, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39,
40-49, 50-59, and 60-69, and 70 and over.
DIRECTIONS- Take I-80 to the Lynnville/Oakland Acres exit 179, go north about ½ mile and then turn east on Jacob
Ave and follow the signs.
ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION-The Jasper Conservation Connection is a non-profit group that operates under the
umbrella of the Jasper Community Foundation. The purpose of the group is to enhance the quality of parks, recreational
opportunities, conservation value, and outdoor education throughout Jasper County. The Jasper Conservation Connection
