Join us for the annual WHO Radio Tractor Ride, a cherished tradition that unites farmers, tractor enthusiasts, and families from across the country! This exciting three-day event, held every June, brings together more than 300 tractors of all makes, colors, and years for a scenic journey through Iowa's towns and countryside.Originally founded in 1996 by WHO Radio Farm Broadcasters Mark Pearson, Gary Wergin, and listener Daryl Hull, the Tractor Ride started with just 90 tractors. Now, 27 years later, it has grown into one of the largest tractor events in the nation, with a mission to celebrate Iowa’s rich agricultural heritage.This year’s ride will be housed at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. The Iowa Speedway, a premier 7/8-mile asphalt racetrack designed by NASCAR legend Rusty Wallace, is often referred to as "The Fastest Short Track on the Planet." Located about 30 miles east of Des Moines, Newton offers a revitalized downtown, featuring the historic Jasper County Courthouse, along with local shops and restaurants. Participants will have the unique opportunity to bring their tractors through the scenic residential areas of Jasper and neighboring counties.Event Details:
